The Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has said that he is extremely happy with the performance of the team in the 2-2 draw with Barcelona during the weekend. Even though the result was not the one Real Madrid were looking when they went into the match, Kaka has said that this was an impressive result considering the performance and the level of the opposition.

Barcelona managed to score two goals in the match through Lionel Messi, while the Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo also scored two goals in the match. The Real Madrid manager José Mourinho was also thrilled with the performance of the Brazil international Kaka, who came on as a substitute.

The former AC Milan midfielder is on the road to recovery in the last few weeks. He has been having impressive matches in the la Liga after coming on as a substitute. He is hoping that he will be able to show his full potential once he starts a match. Many have been saying that the 30-year-old has not been the player he once was due to the lack of pace, but the Brazilian is keen to prove otherwise. He has also said that the title race still not over despite Barcelona have been an eight-point advantage in the table.

“The eight point gap is still worrying, but slightly less so after playing at the Camp Nou. It can’t be said that the title race is over, of course it can’t. There’s a lot left to play for and we’re going to fight to the end. We had a great game, but we didn’t kill it off. We [Real Madrid] are also eight points behind Barcelona in the table but we still believe,” said the Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, who was also sorry about the situation faced by his former club AC Milan.

The Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has said that he played for the new season to start, which would enable them to start the defence of the title. Real Madrid managed to lift the league title for the first time in three seasons last season, but they will be facing an even greater challenge from Barcelona in order to retain the same this time around. However, the defender Sergio Ramos has said that he is confident that Real Madrid will be able to retain the title due to the small, but influential signings they have made in the transfer window.

Real Madrid have been closely linked with the Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric, who is expected to become the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle for the manager José Mourinho. He has already indicated that winning the Champions League will have a preference over winning the league title. The defender Sergio Ramos, however, has said that Real Madrid have the quality to win both titles because of the strength in depth within the squad. Real Madrid will be returning to the la Liga action after a successful pre-season tour in the United States. Sergio Ramos was one of the standout players for Real Madrid in the pre-season.

“I think this was a good game to tune up the team before the season. It will start with a title at stake [the Supercopa] against Barcelona. We already want La Liga to begin. These tours are helpful because we can have some experiences as a team that we cannot have during the season. We have to be thankful for that. It’s notorious the way people react to what Real Madrid mean in the football world and we have to give thanks for that,” said Sergio Ramos after the completion of the US pre-season tour.

Real Madrid midfielder Granero has said that he feels that the Spanish club is the biggest in the world due to the number of trophies that they have won during the illustrious career and also the fan base.

Real Madrid is undoubtedly one of the most successful clubs in the world after they have lifted nine Champions League titles alone.

This is extremely far ahead comparison with Barcelona, who have just for Champions League titles. This makes Real Madrid one of the best clubs in the world according to the midfielder Granero, who played an influential role for the club in helping them lift the la Liga title.

The 25-year-old still has two seasons left on his current contract and has said that he does not want to think about leaving the club. The Santiago Bernabeu has been the host to many major success over the years and Granero has said that he wants to be part of some more. It was initially thought that the midfielder would be used as a makeweight in the deal that could see the arrival of the Croatian midfielder Luka Modric. However, the Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has made it a priority to keep the Argentine midfielder at the club.

“Before, only the people of Madrid went to watch the club, the Real Madrid fans. Now, thanks to our president, who has worked hard on this, the club is the biggest in the world. They have a worldwide impact, everyone around the world knows about Real Madrid. As a Real Madrid fan I could never play for Barcelona, neither in the best of conditions or for all the money in the world. I could not because of my principles. I would be incapable of doing so,” said the Argentine midfielder Granero in a recent interview.

It is thought that the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is extremely confident about getting Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric in the summer. Real Madrid have made it their main priority to get the Croatian midfielder, who was impressive with the Croatian national team at the Euro 2012.

They have been conducting discussions with Premier league club Tottenham over the last few weeks, although the two clubs are extremely way off when it comes to the negotiations. Still, it is thought that Florentino Perez has told his close friends that he is confident of sealing a deal for Luka Modric worth around £ 35 million.
It has to be noted that Tottenham rejected an offer of
around £ 40 million for the midfielder only last summer.

The 26-year-old then perform exceptionally during the season to help Tottenham finish in the fourth position, although they have been denied an opportunity to play the Champions League group stages as a result of Chelsea winning the title. This means that they will be unable to hold on to Luka Modric without Champions League football. The new Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is thought to have identified Moutinho as his replacement for Luka Modric, which will pave the way for the Croatian midfielder to move to the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid are not the only club in the race to sign the 26-year-old. French club PSG, who are close to completing a £ 55 million double deal for both AC Milan defender Thiago Silva and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, are also interested in the midfielder. Carlo Ancelotti tried to bring him to Stamford Bridge when he was the Chelsea manager, but failed in the attempts to do so. He will be hoping that the huge amount of money at his disposal will help him secure the signing of the 26-year-old.

Manchester City star midfielder David Silva has said that he is not interested in a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid to stay with the Premier league champions.

The 26-year-old former Valencia midfielder has been linked with a return to Spain after it was revealed that Real Madrid are interested in securing his services. He has been in sensational form for Man City ever since arriving in England for £ 26 million.

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho is currently in charge of the transfers at Real Madrid. He is thought to have made David Silva his top priority in order to replace Kaka.

David Silva recently won the English Premier league title with Manchester City after a dramatic final day of the season. Even though they have failed to make any significant impact in the European campaign in the last two seasons, it is thought that David Silva is prepared to stay with Manchester City in order to achieve a lot in the European front. Due to the fact that Manchester City missed out on the signing of star midfielder Eden Hazard, David Silva will be the forefront of every Manchester City attack next season.

“David has signed a long deal with Manchester City and is very happy at the club. They have just beaten Man United to the title. Football is always unpredictable but he wants to stay in England. Real Madrid is a big club as well and they were interested when he was at Valencia [the club he left to join City] but the deal was not possible. We are ignoring the plans of Real Madrid because he is very integrated at City and winning the Premier League has only increased his commitment to the club,” said David Silva’s agent Julio Llorente in response to the transfer speculation linking his client with a return to Spain.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said that Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona are the benchmarks that Manchester City will try to achieve in the next few years.

Roberto Mancini guided Manchester City to their first league title ever this season after a dramatic 3-2 win over QPR on the final day of the season. The club could have so lost the title on the last day of the season after having trailed the match up until the 90th minute. However, Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko scored in the final few minutes of the match to turn the fortunes of the club.

Despite winning the Premier league title, Roberto Mancini indicated that the club will not be restraining from spending a lot of money in the summer. Mancini has spent close to £ 500 million in the last few years since joining City to replace Mark Hughes. However, the Italian has said that Real Madrid and Barcelona are able to sustain their dominance both domestically and in Europe due to their level of spending. In the last two seasons alone, both Real Madrid and Barcelona have spent more than £ 100 million each to bring in players like Fabio Coentrao and Cesc Fabregas respectively.

“Barcelona and Real Madrid every year buy two or three players and spend a lot of money. I think for Manchester City it will be the same. We need to improve. We need to have the strength to play Champions League and Premier League. For this we need to have a good team, a strong team with a good mentality, but I’m sure we will do it,” said Mancini after getting his team to the title. Mancini also said that there was no doubt that his team were the deserved winners of the title.

When Sir Alex Ferguson described the former Madrid board as “that mob” and declared he wouldn’t do business with them many thought he was referring to the club as a whole. And it is understandable why.

They are the epitome of everything that is wrong with the modern game of football.

Diving, tapping up players, hefty debt and buying success are seen as the serious blights on the modern game and Real are guilty of all of these things.

Real followers will argue that Barca are the main culprits of diving and will point to incidents involving Busquets and Mascherano in particular to highlight this. But watch any Real game and you will see that they are at least as guilty if not worse. Ronaldo has not improved since his time at Man United, he stills rolls around in agony at the slightest touch and he is typical of the current Madrid side.

And when it comes to “buying success” no team has ever been as guilty a Real. When they built their Galacticos in the late 90’s and early 00’s they paid well above their capability to bring in the likes of Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo and many more. They would make a big signing every season and the money would come from outside sources, including the Spanish government.

Nowadays it is very much the same story. The money for the Kaka and Ronaldo transfers was not earned by the club, it was brought in by outsiders and used as a tool in the presidential elections.

The financial truth at the Bernabeu is that Real are in serious levels of debt. Like the so called model club of Barcelona, Real are in serious financial trouble. If there was any club capable of challenging the Classico strangle hold on the Champions League places they would both be at a serious threat of liquidation.

As it happens these two clubs control the top two places and all of the financial power in Spanish football. With two of the greatest club sides to ever grace the game the current La Liga should be the greatest league on the planet, but because of the irresponsible finances and the monopoly of Barca and Real the league is uncompetitive and with the exception of the “El Classico” fixture incredibly dull and predictable.

Like the commentators say, it’s embarassing.

The sad matter of fact is that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest players in the world. He doesn’t need to do this! He could just get the ball, throw it in for his team-mate and then concentrate on nutmegging and setp-over-ing his way to the AC Milan goal.

Instead he chooses Option B, which is to roll around on the floor and partake in some ‘soap opera acting’. Lol.

Van der Vaart out for the Season

Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart looks likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury at Real Zaragoza.

The Holland international tore a hamstring in his left leg and his recovery time has been estimated at two to three weeks which, with just four games remaining in the Primera Division, will more than likely rule him out for the rest of the campaign.

However, Madrid’s head of medical services, Carlos Diez, has not entirely ruled out a return for the 27-year-old in the final match of the season against Malaga.

He told Marca: “Van der Vaart can reduce the time (out) depending on developments.”
