Real Madrid will be without two of their first choice defenders for the Spanish Copa Del Rey clash with Alcoyano who play their club football in Segunda B, the second tier of Spanish club football. The Real Madrid duo of club skipper Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajalwon’t be available for the cup game with Alcoyano due to injury. According to Diario AS, Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal didn’t train with the rest of the Real Madrid squad as a result of injury and that they would both miss the Copa Del Rey clash with Alcoyanolater this week.

Dani Carvajal and Sergio Ramos picked up knocks from the past two games against Celta Vigo and Athletic Bilbao. Real Madrid faced Celta Vigo in the league, while the Athletic Bilbao game was in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals. Sergio Ramos was a doubt for the Athletic Bilbao game in the Spanish Super Cup and he had to leave the stadium wrapped up in a bandage and limping at the end of the game.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane took charge of the latest training session on Tuesday morning. 23 footballers took part in the session. Apart from the Spanish national team duo of Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal, young Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes also missed the training session. Rodrygo Goes is yet to recover from the injury that he picked up during a league game last month.

The Brazilian player sustained the injury towards the end of last month during the Granada game in the Spanish La Liga. Just like Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal, Rodrygo Goes will also miss the Alcoyano game in the Spanish Copa Del Rey. Real Madrid would be hoping to bounce back from the disappointing defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the first semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup. Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Bilbao who eventually won the competition.
